MANED FRUIT 1

I don't normally submit character concepts but I wanted one of my friends to see this and she's not online |8 I didn't lineart it 'cause my photoshop is running slow....so I just scanned it in and colored over the pencil lines.

Since she was my inspiration for him (and his 3 sisters) xD She made a poll asking if you associated your characters with food.

And that got me thinking. SOOOOO! I made four new characters that are based off of four fruits. Sharday (the eldest) is based off of grapes. Lind (the second eldest) is based off of watermelons. Kyona (the third child) is based off of apples. And Arikiwi (the youngest) is based off of kiwi. Everyone's name except Lind's means something about the fruit they represent. Lind's name means Lime tree in German xD; I couldn't find any name meaning watermelon so I just went with lime xD;

So as you can see, Lind's color scheme is that of a watermelons. Even with the pink parts have black spots like watermelon seeds. I was sitting in bed last night when I drew him xD 'Cause I didn't feel like going to bed <8

OKAY SO ABOUT LIND! 8D (I'll develop his sisters when I draw them)

Lind is 23 and is the second eldest child. He is lazy and procrastinates on a lot of stuff which annoys the crap out of Sharday. His maturity level isn't too high. Hell his 13-year-old sister acts more mature than him at times. He moans and groans on his way from his room to the kitchen because he thinks it's too far. When they order pizza, about 15 minutes after ordering he starts whining about where the pizza is until Kyona (who's 17) slaps him and tells him to stfu.

He spends about 3/4 of his time in his room. Either watching TV, reading, or is on the computer. It's amazing he's not fat when you think about it xD; He also whines on his way to the bathroom, again thinking it's too far. He will watch TV in the main room. But that's only really when he gets home from work (yes despite being lazy he does have a job) and doesn't feel like making the small walk to his room. He'll move once Sharday bitches at him and / or Kyona shoves him off.

Since he has the only computer in the house (not completely true, Sharday has a laptop she'll let Kyona use for homework and occasionally Arikiwi but only for homework. They're allowed on the internet while on it since Sharday knows Lind refuses to let them use it). To keep Arikiwi from pestering him to use his computer, he claims that the only thing his internet has on it is porn and that if his internet finds a site that isn't a porn site, it goes into "conspiracy mode" as he calls it and tries destroying the site. Therefore trying to convince her that her sites will be destroyed if she gets on "his internet". No one knows why does it since it doesn't really make any sense but Arikiwi left him alone about it after the 5th attempt. She knows it's not true but played along to humor him. Truth be told, Lind doesn't really watch porn. He claims he's too lazy to. Yes his laziness seems to vanish a bit to watch regular movies.

He works at a library (lol librarian) because it requires the least amount of work out of him. He reads a lot there so he has a lot of ideas and concepts going on his head but he's normally too lazy to do anything / tell anyone about them.

Of course there are times when he's not lazy. And this is only when Sharday bitches at him a lot and Kyona gives him a handful of smacks. This is the only time he actually has the "energy" (as he claims) to talk about the concepts and ideas in his head. This is when he proves that he's actually smarter than he appears.
